i could be happy

Yesterday I watched The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. Usually Wes Anderson movies are not my favorite. I don't dislike them by any means, but they sort of just leave me thinking "...okay then." Which isn't a bad thing. Anyway, I did enjoy The Life Aquatic a lot more than I thought I would. (Matthew Gray Gubler's appearance with an Art Garfunkel-like hair-style didn't hurt. Or Willem Dafoe--he's just awesome.) I had to laugh while watching one of the featurettes. The actors were trying to describe the plot and kept going on and on. People. It's Moby Dick as told by Wes Anderson. Not difficult.

I still need to see Rushmore and Bottle Rocket.

I've been reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, though I haven't quite had the time to just sit and read the whole thing. I tried to read it yesterday while waiting for an oil change, but I had trouble tuning out the other people in the waiting room.

So so so excited for May. First up, X:Men Origins. WOLVERINE, BABIES. And then Star Trek. And then COLORADO AND MARITAL BLISS FOR CHRYSTA AND COREY.

Realized today as I was sweeping my kitchen that my treatise on the evils of flooring, specifically cleaning said flooring, was deleted, and that makes me sad. I thought I could have mass-produced it and begun a real movement to end the tyranny, or something.

I walked to the grocery store today, and when I got back, Vera managed to slip out the front door without my immediately noticing. I knew that I had heard her near the door, but hadn't realized that she'd snuck out. It was okay, because my brilliant baby made it one foot out the door before she flopped down on the cement and started rolling all around.

It is possible that I could be more boring, but I'm afraid I'll just have to leave you all semi-comatose.
